Do I need an appointment?

No. You do not need an appointment to be seen at OneTreeHealth. We take walk-ins daily.

Do I need a referral?

If you are using insurance, we would advise you to check with your insurance to see if a referral is necessary and to ensure we are on your plan. You can also contact our office to determine if your insurance requires a referral and that OneTreeHealth is a covered provider.

What should I bring for my initial consultation?

Here’s a checklist for your initial consultation:

  • Referral letter (if required)
  • Driver’s license or a valid ID
  • Insurance information
  • Copies of results, X-rays, MRI’s, CT scans & any other relevant information
  • List of medications (if any)

We encourage you to come to your initial consultation with a written list of questions to ensure you don’t forget to ask them when you see the doctor.

Are my medical records kept private and confidential?

Your medical file is handled with the utmost respect for your privacy. Our staff is bound by strict confidentiality requirements as a condition of employment regarding your medical records. We will not release the contents of your medical file without your express consent.

When can I resume exercise?

Your provider will instruct you about post-treatment exercises — the type and the duration to be followed. You may be referred to a physical therapist to help with strengthening and range of motion exercises following your treatment.

How do I contact my provider after hours?

We have an answering service for your questions after hours. They will contact your provider if needed.

What are the non-surgical treatment options?

Typically, non-surgical treatment options include rest, medications including analgesics and antibiotics, injections, and physical/occupational therapy. Biologics may also be recommended as an appropriate non-surgical option.

Will my provider order physical therapy?

Getting full range of motion, strength, and flexibility back after treatment usually takes time. Physical therapy is a common treatment option for orthopedic conditions. OneTreeHealth utilizes exceptional physical therapists in your area to provide better outcomes with most treatment options.

If surgery is recommended, what are the possible risks?

With any surgery, there are always risks. These include reactions to anesthesia, bleeding, infection, stiffness, and nerve damage. Your doctor will discuss the risks associated with your specific procedure.

What are the most common injuries?

The most common orthopedic injuries are sprains, strains, fractures, and dislocations. Injuries can occur when playing sports or while exercising. Sports injuries can result from accidents, inadequate training, improper use of protective devices, or insufficient stretching or warm-up exercises.

What are Biologics?

Biologics are typically injections or medications used to target specific cells and proteins in the immune system. Treatments such as PRP (Plasma Rich Proteins) help your own immune system repair damage to soft tissue structures, which are common in orthopedic injuries. Biologics are a more natural approach proven to be very helpful in the treatment of many orthopedic conditions.
